It felt like a Granville County homecoming Friday night. Bridget and I attended the The Mother of the Year Banquet. The room was filled with so many cherished friends and community leaders. We were both moved by the remarkable women honored. Their lives are dedicated to service to family, community and God. It reminded me why I loved growing up in Granville County and why Bridget and I decided to come home to Oxford to raise a family.
Oxford, like towns and communities across District 9, is a tight knit community that has faced good times and bad times but we have always faced them together. People from all walks of life with different interests, backgrounds, and experiences moving our community forward together. That is why I am running for District Attorney.
My courtroom experience and passion for justice will take the District Attorney’s office in a new direction. That direction leads to a judicial system that seeks justice for everyone and that direction leads to a safer place to live and raise our families.
For me the Mothers honored are an example of the kind of folks that make Granville County and the rest of District 9 such a special place.
